Hi all,
we're in the process to begin a full-blown restauration of the Canadian schooner "Tahoe", launched in 1945 in Canada, and cruised several times the Pacific. Measurements are 36"6’ on deck, 33" lwl displacement, displacement 12.6 tons, 12"6’ beam, 5"6’ draft. The ship was designed by Cpt. Henry Anderson & Sons in 1945, but that's more or less all the documentation I have, apart from an old photograph, showing the original gaff schooner rigg instead of the current bermuda schooner rigg.
Does anyone have any reasonable idea where to get additional information from ? We're living on the other end of this beautiful world in South Australia and needed a good excuse to get back onto the water; "Tahoe" will provide the means for us to improve our woodworking skills and cruise around Australia and the Coral Sea.
Please forward your correspondence to my office email, which is florianw@jurlique.com.au - any help is much appreciated. Und ich spreche deutsch, it just got a bit rusty over recent years.
Vielen Dank und viele Gruesse aus Australien,
Florian
